I wish I had a jungle gym so that I could hang upside down for an hour or two. Instead it looks like I'm being packed off to a chiropractor early next week. Stupid neck, stupid back; it's just one damned thing after another. Solution? probably to do more yoga and play more DDR.

I could be at a really cool art opening reception thing tonight, but I'm not, because chronology is all screwed up. (Basically, I didn't find out I could get in until almost the last minute, and I was nowhere near ready to go, and didn't want other ppl to miss it because of me, so just said to go without me.) At the moment i feel nappish, but might go out to see some bands or something later, assuming I don't fall asleep.

It has occurred to me that I have developed serious fashion anxiety since moving to Ohio. I worry about both looking "right" for whatever thing I'm attending, AND not freezing my ass off.

Me and Elaine are always wanting to hang upside down! They have these devices for back pain that called inverters. I want to go over to Elaine's friend Kelly's house and dust off hers and use it and see if it works. Jungle Gym is a good idea too. Hmmmmmmmm. I'm less than a mile from one... if it weren't so cold.... I hate chiropractors. They make me wanna cry.

I like massage therapists better than chiropractors, though a good chiro is better than a bad mt.

inversion tables are AWESOME. the lady i wrote about last week who killed herself was the first person i knew who had one. my mom's friend who we went to see Bowie with also has one, and let me use hers when we were there, but i couldn't spend as much time on it as i might have when i was a kid. i want one really really bad... i mean, a good one costs less than 10 trips to the chiropractor, so why not?

I know what you mean about the fashion anxiety!
i have had the same problem since i moved back to michigan.
i grew up here, so you'd think i would remember, but after 5 years in L.A. of only having to worry about "looking cute" and not "keeping warm"-- well it has apparently retarded my judgement.

i almost never feel sassy in the winter,
i think i end up looking like a big-puffy-over-bundled bear.

that's exactly it. my entire "going out" wardrobe consisted of little skirts and funny printed tees from like Hot Topic or Urban Outfitters or something. Great in ORLANDO in January but not so hot in COLUMBUS. So sad. I suppose I could still wear that though if I just added a cardigan...

but it's Ohio. shouldn't you just be able to wear bib overalls, whatever the occasion?

(sorry, i'm from pennsylvania all of my life until the recent move to the GWN; i had to say it!)

oh, little do you know. PA exists for Ohioans to mock, not the other way around. ;)

the snow and cold has kept me from looking cute for class the start of this semester and end of the last. Evil snow makes roads slippy, and cold makes cute things... well.. cold.

Glamour and deep winter don't mix. I find it comparable to Florida in summer; I can't ever take anyone seriously, including myself, when wearing shorts and sandals, though at least that's less time consuming. I hate the gearing up ritual before going out into Hoth.

haha - HOTH. that's about right.

i only started wearing shorts a year ago, and i only have one pair. before that i mostly wore sundresses with fitted hoodies, or long skirts and tshirts or tanks. and before that, i dressed with utter disregard for the heat, and basically just wore whatever i felt like wearing and tried not to have to spend too much time away from air conditioning. ;)
