Nov. 30th, 2005 12:07 amOh, my. Tonight I started knitting this pattern by Fiber Trends, a little felted sheep. (See "A Felted Flock" way down at the bottom of the page. Man, I likes the bunnies... maybe I'll pick that pattern up someday.) It's for Tom's mom, and I've had the yarn sitting around for like 18 months. It has some crazy short-row knitting in it, such that most rows are actually like six rows that wrap and turn near the end. It's completely annoying because each "row" is hundreds of stitches, though there are rarely more than 55 on the needle... not hard to follow, but there aren't too many natural stopping points. At the moment I have a convincing little sheep butt. More to come.
Tomorrow: fun with ebay. I need to sell a few semi-luxury items so as to have Xmas money, since it has occurred to me that I won't get paychecks in time to buy anything. I have a few really nice dresses, sz L and XL, that would be totally great for office xmas parties and for New Year's Eve.
Also major note-to-self: when next at library, check out book called The Work-At-Home Sourcebook; this lists legit work-at-home opportunities. I just want to make like $10-12/hr, I'm a relatively skilled worker, it shouldn't be THAT hard to find.
