Dec. 17th, 2001 02:09 amLet's see. I have done absolutely nothing today. Well, I watched The Phantom Menace and the first Serial Experiments: Lain DVD, and I kicked the momster's ass in Scrabble, and I napped. But other than that, not too much.
Thanks to everyone who has posted nice comments about the stuff that's been going on. I mean to address them more individually when I feel a little better.
Basically... I feel icky but I've felt worse. I have a low-grade fever, itchy ears that pop when I swallow, itchy hurty throat that occasionally feels closed, and a very slight cough and stuffy nose. Every single one of these symptoms has been worse at one time or another; as colds go, this one is mostly just irritating. I'm very happy I'm not hacking up a lung and that I can still basically breathe (even though breathing kind of hurts my throat).
The momster went out and bought me food and more medicine today, so I have Tylenol Cold tablets and Chloraseptic spray added to my arsenal. I haven't used Chloraseptic in almost 15 years: I was a serious singer and most serious singers won't use it. The idea is that it numbs the throat, and if you can't sing because something hurts, you shouldn't be singing. Numbing the pain just makes it so you can't protect your voice. However, I know just what parts are irritated, and since I'm mainly using the stuff to be able to eat and sleep... I don't see much of a problem.
That's today's news. Hopefully soon your good wishes'll kick into gear and I'll start to feel better and have more interesting things to talk about than my stupid cold/whatever-it-is.
