I can't believe you people didn't reply to my last post, even if only to mock me. :)
So... today sucked about as much as I thought it would. I'm really tired. It's not my bad attitude, it's really just the way people act, caught in their own little worlds in public spaces, and having bad manners while walking around stores. Don't walk 1mph with your cart. Do watch where the hell you're going. Say "excuse me" when you go in front of something someone is looking at or when you need to get past someone. Simple shopping etiquette. Don't act like cattle.
Uhaul - a blah trip at the best of times. Kinko's - mom got important fax sent, I got bupkis done on my color copies because I was in line behind these nice ladies who had like 80 million copies to make. They did let me go but I was having problems so I gave them back the machine. Circuit City - wandered into entryway so mom could check sales circ for digital camera she wants. Target - fucking crowded and generally awful, mom dawdled for first time in life. Found remaining necessary gifts minus Best Buy gift cert. Home Depot - mom refused to believe research I'd done about stucco repair, asked paint dept guy while I smirked at her (he confirmed my research), we wandered around looking at home depot stuff, got paint samples for eventual home repainting. Olive Garden - Well, finally, I eat. Leg was hurting, but food was TASTY. Kinko's - again, got my color copies correct this time. Best Buy - got gift card for uncle, also Moulin Rouge DVD (hush you, I liked it). Bank - saw cute little bunny in bushes. Fuzzy bunny. Sweet bunny. Post Office - I have a PO Box, so I checked it. HOME.
It started out really nice today, upper 60s, but now it's cold, verging on unpleasantly so. At least if you're wearing a long denim skirt with high side slits like me, and sandals on your otherwise-bare feet. I have to order LOTR tickets for tomorrow night. Then I'm going to sleep. I'm so done with today. I know the annoyances were petty and that I generally did not have a horrible time, but still, I'm not over my cold yet and I'm feeling whooped.
