*yawn*

It turned out that the theater wasn't showing Final Fantasy, so we saw Shrek. It was cute, funny, silly, and not particularly "for kids." I do not know if I'd ever want to see it again. Some of the funniest things for me were the things related to theme parks... I've been to Disney World SO MANY TIMES. So I giggled at "You are parked in LanceLOT" and the line in front of the castle with the wait sign and snickered at the big-headed mascot and pretty much lost it during the bit about the rules of the area.

After that, went bookshopping. Had mint tea and a cookie.

I haven't read anything (in a book) in several days. I think I'm officially stalled. I'm going to skip over those parts I was whining about yesterday. No excuses! Today I've felt very energized to do certain things in a certain way, but not quite as much as I need. If it keeps up, good things may happen.

I think it's bedtime. *thud*
bother. my neck is all seized up again.

i woke up earlier today than yesterday, by several hours, though the strange dreams continue. put on the last unicorn, which i haven't seen all the way through in almost 20 years. it wasn't much as i remembered it. weird rankin/bass hybrid with early 80s anime. it was on one of the new theme channels we got with digital cable - "showtime beyond". i don't believe we had it (certainly not a west-coast version) with direct-tv. they show some really amazing clunkers.

i have to go out and buy some lightbulbs and electrical errata like switches and whatnot. some things around the house have gone wrong and we are trying to fix them. the kitchen light doesn't work, and the front hall chandelier uses those stupid decorative "flame" bulbs in its silly simulated "candles".

if anyone is interested, REM Unplugged (a new one) is on MTV tomorrow night. I'll be there, even if I'm not home. (hello, VCR timer!)
