I just woke up not too long ago. strange. I slept so poorly for the first few hours... until 630 I think I woke up every few minutes. Then I woke up once around 11, and then a little after 1. At 130 I gave up and got up.

Dreams of people I haven't seen in ages storing cocaine (!?!) in picture frames at a party at my house and me wanting to try a little (I've never done drugs... I don't even drink unless I'm out on the town). Dreams of having special report topics assigned and of doing calisthenics with a large group of women. Dreams of Luscious Jackson being a sort of mad luge-ing superwoman team, and me having to do a report on them and perform some of their tricks. Dreams of being assigned a different report at the last minute and having to learn all kinds of rituals. Dreams of more and more exercise. Dreams of being able to take on the powers of any of the dozens of heros of a specific anime team, but only in the same academic situation. Dreams of buses and pet bats for sale that would hop on your finger like a little bird and nuzzle up to you (I want one!)... and dreams of the bus route being confused, taking us to the wrong place, breaking down. Dreams of going from department to department in an office or store and watching a BlackAdder-like "office comedy" happen. so many dreams I had last night... but if it hadn't been for my little kitty curled firmly against the backs of my legs when I woke up, I think I would have been terrified. It makes no sense. Nothing does in the past day or two.

My cardamon cinnamon tea is steeping. I ate a chocolate-almond Clif Bar, which tasted remarkably like a slightly moister Power Bar Harvest in Chocolate, or a less-fruity version of the chocolate-raspberry Odwalla bar I had the other day.

so much to do... in the morning I will head to the laundromat, and order my medicine from the pharmacy, and take the big computer down to find out what's wrong with it, something I have been meaning to do for days.

Until then, I will probably read and watch movies. Or put together furniture. Or do housework. Or perhaps even go back to sleep.

I wish I had a few more pairs of hands.
after my last entry, scary scared, I watched Ever After because it was on, and fell asleep towards the end. I love that movie, in spite of the problems with it...

so I've been asleep since sometime between 7AM and 8AM! I just passed out and snuggled up. If I had dreams they weren't terribly vivid or interesting. My little kitty guarded me the whole time, with the help of the B-cat (though just a few minutes ago they fought over who got to be on the bed, and the B-cat lost). Oh wait! I did have dreams. They were mostly of vintage shopping in a cool store and of meeting some interesting people who lived around here and of this one friend of mine who I haven't seen in like two and a half years and who always aggravated me. She was working in the store the second time I was there, and she took a dress she knew I wanted to try on and tried it on herself and did something in it like getting her hair done or something, but I did get the dress and it was in fine condition. This is entirely realistic... she's like that, she would do that. There was also a point where I was standing outside and a dirty old man came by on a bike and started saying dirty old man things to me, and I just went off on him, my usual speech about society being fucked up and how dare he say those things to me. I punctuated it by hitting him over the head with a rolled-up magazine.

So, for the moment, I am content. I need to go get my antibiotics and dry some of my endless amounts of laundry. That's the plan for now... well, after a cup of tea and some contemplation.
I've been home for some time...

I got dressed and went to the laundromat. My hair felt stiff and flat around my head. I sat there and read Haruki Murakami stories while my clothes and sheets spun round and round in the dryer. I got tired of being there and took out the two larger loads fifteen minutes early. There was a one-year-old(ish) boy there with his sister, who I think I was around five or six, and their mother, who seemed nice. The little boy was out of control and his sister was clearly in charge of him and exasperated. She tried to be gentle with him but eventually the mother had to come over and put the boy in his chair. Nobody was rough or punishing. The old lady who was working tonight really got on my tits - like, a woman was doing about ten loads and her husband came in to see her on the dot of nine, and the old lady threw her out. mopped around us all with pointed looks. "Yelled" (not really, but close) at the little boy for going somewhere she had mopped, which shouldn't have been mopped two hours early. trying to get out early. I suppose I should be kinder about an old woman, but she could have been kinder to her customers, I think.

Then I went over to the drugstore to get my prescriptions. Shopped around while I waited for them to be filled. Apparently there is another woman in my area who has the same name as me and much better insurance; she is ten years older than me. More than that. When I went to pick up my pills, I gave them the insurance card I had forgotten, some plan my mom purchased on one of our credit cards. There was a big scramble, as they realised that my prescriptions had been filled under the other woman's name (which would have been MUCH cheaper! but I corrected them 'cause it wouldn't have been right to take them at that price). Then another scramble as it turns out that my mother's insurance company is supposed to be listing me as a dependent on her drug plan, but wasn't, so I couldn't pick up my Paxil (that's OK, I won't need any until next week, and my mom is going to try to straighten it out before then). Aggravating. I did get my antibiotic and my decongestant.

Came home, talked to mom on the phone, made vegan enchiladae, have been chilling since then. Watched the end of Three Kings, drank chocolate soy milk. Going to study and do bills and continue picking up 'round the house. I should go get a flu shot tomorrow, but I can't because of my illness - I will call the doctor on Monday and ask her when I can get my flu shot.

ooh, found a box that the gigantor storm trooper dolls that I picked up for Ragdoll can go into! so she will finally be getting them. :)

I need a shower. Maybe I'll also slap on some hairdye tonight.
