I did accomplish 1.5 out of the three things I wanted to try to do today, which I think is pretty good, since one of them was laundry and I can do that tomorrow. I made it to the healthfood store and picked up lots of delicious healthy things: carrots so gorgeous that they look unreal, perfect vine-ripe tomatos, chocolate Silk soymilk, garlic and chive hummus, tea and wheat-free vegan cookies and yogurt and spelt bread, soup and chili from the salad bar....
The 1/2-errand is the candle I picked up there... I can put off going to the candle store, which was low-priority to begin with. Aroma Naturals candles are really great. I had their "Fruits Sauvages" - wild berries - candle over the summer, and it smelled amazingly delicious. This time I picked up their Relaxation aromatherapy candle, Lavender and Tangerine. I like the same scent from Aromatherapy of Rome, but Aroma Naturals are a bit less expensive, and don't have that strange soft wax or smell quite as incense-y. I have a problem with the Aromatherapy of Rome candles in that sometimes it is very hard to keep them lit or to get them to burn all the way to the edge.
Now I am just reconnecting to some people I used to talk to on AIM... my best friend from high school and a guy I know. The D-cat is in his usual spot and the B-cat is running around the house meowing and torturing the blanket on my mother's bed into submission. It's starting to thunder, so the N-cat is looking for a place to hide. The weather has been beautiful today. This being Florida, that means it has to rain later.
My Xmas presents from KittyMalicious and her man Edvaytah just arrived... the world's teeniest Zen Garden (awww) and a hardcover of House of Leaves... I didn't even know the damn thing came in hardcover. Cool! thanks kids. :)

Date: 2001-01-08 01:06 pm (UTC)honestly, when i was reading She Hates My Futon this weekend... although everyone has been praising it, and it is compulsively readable, I kept wanting to edit. Too many "it must of been"s and "..., if you know what I mean"s.
I forgot to mention in my entry that the report card from last semester came today and... hurrah! the Magical "W" Fairy has struck! I didn't fail a single thing, so I think the art department head must have requested that administration withdraw me. I'm so fucking thrilled I can't begin to describe it.
