Doing laundry, watching Camelot (bad, but amusing and nostalgic), occasionally reading Motherless Brooklyn (good).
Have basically no idea what to do with myself today - wanting to go do something but having no idea what, and living in Dullsville, baby, population: me (and about a hundred thousand other people).
So I'm washing up laundry to be dried later, and pondering what to do about dinner. I will take the B-cat down to his vet's sometime in the next few hours, as he has his mouth cleaning and probably surgery in the morning (either way, he has to have blood tests and be knocked out and have his garbage-breath remedied).
Popkultur has an entry today about the irritating insincerity of co-workers. I couldn't agree more. I hate working in large organizations partly because I never know what kind of mean kooky people I'm going to be stuck with. I'm still friends with some people I've worked with (most notably B.), but there have always been a few who were practically my reason for quitting... and they all tended to be that same type, the undereducated ladder-climbers. Not that I'm overeducated myself, and not that all undereducated people are Like That, but it's a certain type that can make a work environment really... unpleasant.
