home-again, jiggedy-jig...

It's like this... a few months ago I got my eyebrows waxed & because of a retinol cream I use (but had used on my eyelids only because I read somewhere that it's OK to use "cosmeceuticals" on your eyes on occasion and if they don't react), bits of skin came off with the wax! By the next day I looked like I had rug burn under my eyebrows, which took a couple of weeks to heal. (I don't even want to think about the feelthy ways in which a woman could get rugburn on her browbone.) Today was my first eyebrow shaping since then. I have been trying to generally leave them alone so that I wouldn't lose skin again. I told M. what happened, and she said "Aw, bless you, I burned your skin off and you still came back!" But today's adventures in vanity seem to have worked out OK. So far.
I am wearing my blue shirt with the kitty on it who looks like the B-cat. The B-cat himself is standing across the room giving the same look as the cat on the shirt. Cuteness.
After the battle of the brows, I stopped at the gourmet market and picked up food (some potatos and some honey bbq wings), as well as a jar of the fantabulous Blackberry Sage tea jam and some chocolate-covered gingerbread hearts and stars. There is nothing like German chocolate-covered gingerbread in December. I look forward to it every year. The best is by Elisen, with the meringue bottom, but that is hard to find (the market didn't have it). It usually comes in decorative tins. Oh, heaven! On the sad side, they don't seem to sell the GoGo drinks anymore. I liked Bliss a lot; it did what it advertised, and it was tasty too.
Came home to read email from the friend I was whining about yesterday... I figured that rather than moping and stewing passive-aggressively it would be better to say something. Explanation is as expected: friend needs to get work done & must avoid temptation to talk to me all day. Friend is contrite (anyways, she knows I'm not mad, just sulky in the way of delicate immature people who listen to too much morrissey). All is well.
Now, to go pack boxes of Christmas presents. And speeder bikes, if you know who you are.
