my misspent youth...

Heee...
I just wrote KittyMalicious a longish mail detailing the whole controversy about the girl who was harrassing me, and read her reply. Imagine that we have a similar list of lickable celebrity boys! (Edward Norton, Crispin Glover, Joaquin Phoenix, and to mine you must add Jude Law and a few actors who are way too old for me, like Ralph Fiennes - heh, prolly Crispin's age - and my old thing for Daniel Day Lewis...) Celeb crushes are fun and harmless, I guess as long as they are in perspective... I know someone - a distant relative - who has spent thousands upon thousands of dollars pursuing a couple of different celebs, sending them gifts and stuff, thinking she will one day actually meet them & be part of their lives, and it's just kind of weird and sad and is causing her some relationship problems and stuff. But these little crushes of ours are very much in perspective - we like these guys, of course, but we want flesh-and-blood people in our lives a lot more.
(I do think Kitty should tell her Crispin story though. It's so sad!)
Then I sent a way early Chanukah card to WonderBoy (the silly Dreidl flash game card at bluemountain.com, which allows you to play dreidl, learn the song, read the history, etc). Since I sent it I've been hearing "Dreidl dreidl dreidl! I made you out of claaaay..." in my head over. and over. and over. While I was there I also got around to reading this card my friend G. sent me a few nights ago when I was a bit bummed and stressed. It was adorable - about how finding the right man is like finding the right pair of shoes. The girl on the card looked a lot like me - well, an idealised version of me. It was nifty and made me smile.
Before all that, I cleaned off the cart where I keep my printer, and put the scanner on top of it, but I have not yet actually hooked up any cords! Still, by tomorrow morning I hope to have some things scanned. Assuming it works. I hope it does, as it doesn't belong to me... it belongs to L, and I certainly don't want to give him any reasons to be mean to me again!
Now that I have totally run out of ways to keep myself awake, I think I am going to give up and try to get some sleep. My cat has an appointment to get his vaccinations at the vet's tomorrow at 5:15 PM. I might add that my cat's vet is hella cute, so... I need to get my beauty rest! hee!
