I have been doing laundry all night. A load of sheets, a load of pale things (mostly pajamas, since that's mostly what I wear, though there are a few tshirts in there - all "hang-dry"), a load of things in intermittent muddy colors, greys and blues and greens and medium violet shades. I might go to the laundromat at 7, when it opens, or I might not. I also need to register for classes & get some other outside-the-home things done. But I feel very strange, getting the numb tingly unreal slightly sick feeling that I had a lot when I was on BuSpar. So I don't know if I will make it out.
I also burned a couple of cds. The excitement!
I have a shirt which is causing me problems. I spilled something on it some time ago and forgot when I'd gone to wash it. It's a cute pale blue shirt by Cosmic Girls, with art by Fawn Gehweiler, and it has a girl with huge blue eyes and dark hair in a tshirt and a pair of jeans, on her knees, spilling a prescription bottle. The pills are colored pastel buttons sewn onto the shirt. It says "mother's little helper" across the bottom. I bought it in Boston and only got to wear it maybe three times.
And now there is a stain just to the left of the girl's head. I think it's coffee or tea or a sauce from something I was eating. The stain is a yellowish shade. There is no way to make it unnoticeable, and unfortunately, since I didn't realise it was there when I washed it, I dried it in a hot-air clothes dryer. This would seem to have set the stain, since what I do with it is to wash it with the other pale clothes (always on cold), use a "stain gel" on it, and leave it to sit on top of the washer until the next time I do pale laundry (usually about 2 weeks). It seems to have faded a little, but not a lot.
I'm really bummed about this, as I adore the shirt - any ideas for stain removal?
If anyone is interested, I recently learned that DC Comics is rereleasing their Vertigo Tarot - art by Dave McKean - next year. This originally came out in a limited edition in 1995, and has been difficult and expensive to get for years! It's also going to be like $20 cheaper than it was last time, and in more manageable packaging (with a softcover book instead of a hardcover, for example). You can find more info about it here (go to the bottom of the page). (HeadsUp to KittyMalicious - they are also releasing a cool Swatch-style Wonder Woman watch this spring, there is info about it on that page too!)
