So, earlier today, the dog ate up a section of lino in the kitchen. We were Unhappy. We put her in her crate, cleaned up the mess, doused the area & any potential future areas (dents or gouges in the lino) with Bitter Apple spray (doggie repellent), cut the edges neatly, etc. The momster went out to buy lino adhesive. This floor is probably about 10 years old, but we still have scraps of it in the garage, for repair and so on.
The momster decided to let the dog out to sleep in the kitchen, instead of making her sleep in her crate. An hour or two passed without incident. I went into the room to get something, left, came back about fifteen minutes later, and Arwen had chewed up ANOTHER spot of lino, this one not so easy to hide, since it's in a main walkway where nobody is likely to put a table.
She's asleep in her crate.
Hopefully the floor will look OK when the spots are replaced. If not, I have the feeling I'll be spending a good part of the next few weeks putting in vinyl floor tiles. That we can't at all afford. Etc.
Also, I am up too late.
