the official health verdict

verbminxFor the bargain price of $50, I found out that my ear is not, in fact, infected, but clogged, pressurized, and popping, most likely as leftover presents from having some kind of little cold/flu virus on sun/monday (a hypothesis strengthened by the fact that I was running a fever of almost 101) that my body was able to beat off pretty quickly on its own.
Well.
*I* could have told you that. (All hail egg-drop chicken soup and "emergen-C" mineral drinks.)
I should have followed my appointment-cancelling impulse this morning, but the momster thought better safe than sorry & convinced me to go.
now i just feel... poor!
(I shouldn't complain. I mean, THE GOOD NEWS is that my ears aren't rotting from the inside out, I'm as healthy as I ever am, etc. But the bad news is that I'm out fifty bucks and a nice Thursday afternoon...)
