I'm not trying to be invisible, but i think i mostly will be for the next few days... i slammed my left hand in a door this evening & the index finger, not broken, is pretty beaten up. mostly a swelling bruise. so i have it in a splint to keep from touching or aggravating the bruise. even w/out the splint it really hurts too much to use.
today i showed the Sailor Moon S movie (the one with Ice Princess Kaguya) and The Princess Bride to the kid and I believe I am taking her to see Holes tomorrow night. While we are there, my mom is showing her mom the first Harry Potter movie for approval and kid may get to see both movies while she's here. Poor thing... she has no idea how fricking long they are and how slow in parts. I also gave her a spare copy of Labyrinth since she liked it so much and I have like 2 vhs tapes and a dvd.
They all went to see What A Girl Wants last night, so I got some peace, alone with my cramps and
arwen_isobel. I tried to watch tv but couldnt concentrate & settled on the dog show. I always make her watch the Herding group. The Sheltie was a boy, as usual. All the champ Shelties seem to be boys. He was much furrier than my baby.
6FU was cool tonight.
Well, typing like this is awkward & becoming painful. Did you kids get cool easter baskets? I got a pair of white satin slippers with winky eyes on them from the Target "Swell" stuff. Also a bunny hand puppet, some candy, a little bunny in bunny-print pajamas. Punching balloons. Kid got plenty of stuff in her basket plus something I kinda want now too, a set of those new "ELLO" building toys. If you see them, check them out... they're pretty cool. I like them as a design object, though I can also see where they'd be a fun, creative thing to play with. It's cool when things can be appreciated on multiple levels like that.

Date: 2003-04-21 12:29 am (UTC)The fact that I was watching a dog show didn't seem to bother my cats. :-)
