That commercial for Nutri-Grain bars (which are tasty, but about which nobody should fool themselves into thinking that they're real food), the one showing "where your breakfast goes" - that is really pretty offensive.

it shows two giant, oversized bearclaw pastries stuck to the one woman's ass as she leaves the bakery, commenting that "everyone knows where YOUR breakfast goes", then it shows another woman trying to flag down a cab in short sleeves, with a cinnamon roll hanging off her upper arm. both women are quite slender.

the one i saw is someone trying to go through the turnstile at the subway with donuts on their ass. the first time i saw it, i was like "what the hell?!" there were other examples in the commercial, but i can't remember.

Offensive to women. Offensive in terms of the types of suggestion. That "everyone" notices that you're eating a cinnamon roll, and thinks negatively of you because of it. That these skinny-ass women they show in the commercial cannot eat a single pastry without becoming the focus of intense scrutiny. That women who have a little extra weight on their asses are conspicuous, should be ashamed, have only themselves to blame. Finally, that their pre-fab boxed snack, filled with preservatives, is "healthier" than a fresh pastry, when in fact it is simply smaller and unsatisfying. If they were really concerned with getting women to eat a healthy breakfast, they wouldn't put it in a connotation like that, meant to shame people who don't eat their crap. They would actually show the ppl in the commercial actually eating a balanced and healthy breakfast, say with some fruit, whole-grain bread, etc.
