back to the land

... insomnia land, that is. I've spent yesterday and today in that weird space where either I can't sleep or I can't do anything but sleep.

Fortunately this has not interfered with my devotion to packing boxes of books, watching Adult Swim, and working on B-Monkey's scarf. I started it Sunday night with the new yarn, and it's now half-finished, or a little more than half-finished. It's an easy knit and if I keep at it, it should be done by the end of the week. He's going to be in town over the second week of March, so I'd like for it to be done in time to give it to him. It was back in November that I told him I'd make it, so I think that is long enough for a simple scarf. It's dark green and dark grey. I also owe my father a scarf.

I have also gotten around to doing some of the updates I owe minxbot (which for those not in the know is my reading journal). I have at least five books to write about. I've been reading-and-writing up a minor storm lately. Seriously. I wrote 100K of text the other night. Maybe I'll actually work on the zine this weekend.

And I need to dye my hair. Over an inch of silky ash-gold roots with about a foot of yellow-gold ends. The roots look greenish in comparison.

Meanwhile, more boxes to pack.
