hott cocoa!

Taking my puppy on a car trip to Orlando today, to run some errands. We don't feel right about leaving her home alone that long yet. It'll be 6 hours or so. I can't go alone because I didn't get enough sleep last night - 5 hours again. I hate going around in this red-eyed fog. But it's nice to get up and still have a day of daylight in front of me.
Returning a few things (notably my nonfitting Kermit/Vincent shirt, *sniff*) and picking up some of the truly fabulous Peppermint Hot Chocolate "mix" from Williams-Sonoma (it's actually shavings of peppermint-oil-infused dark chocolate in a big canister; the shavings melt in hot milk). It's a luxury, but it's extremely delicious.
I also need some sz 11 knitting needles, due to the fact that I only have that size in Addi Turbo, which are very slippery metal. The yarn I'm using to make this sweater I'm plotting is more slippery than I expected it to be, and it wants wood or bamboo, or I'll be dropping stitches everywhere. I mean, I already knitted a gauge swatch successfully, butstill. Too difficult to control.
It's a really nice day. It'll be "cold" later, I think. At the moment it's probably in the 60s with a light breeze. I'm going to wear jeans and a long-sleeved shirt and take a sweater with me.
