I went to bed last night at what is, for me, a reasonable time, but I still managed to sleep all day. Had awful dreams (culminated in me turning myself in to the police because they were looking for me over some total BS). I don't feel very well; I wish this ear infection thing would either get bad enough to see the doctor over it, or go away all together.

Rachel got me lookin' at the Hot Topic site, and I am, as usual, disappointed: the Brat Pack collection and the Brian Froud collection both miss the best possibilities. I want stuff from Pretty in Pink and Ferris Bueller's Day Off rather than Sixteen Candles or The Breakfast Club, and illustrations from Faeries, not the Cottington stuff. meh.

Arwen Isobel is learning not to nibble on people.

Tonight I'm going to... attempt productivity in various ways, and possibly go lookin' for that Interweave at The Other Bookstore.

Here are some silly quizzes. Because you know you cannot live without them.

This test is SO broad that it will not give you any remotely accurate result. So have fun. This was actually my third result, and the only one that even came close to any kind of accuracy.

Who are you?

and the Retro Girl test:

classy
You are the classy pin-up! You are everything sophisticated and refined about the entire era. You exude class and dignity.

sixteen candles and the breakfast club are so over rated.
Pretty in Pink and Ferris Bueller's Day Off make me feel like it's saturday in the early nineties and they're the only thing on teevee.
Which is actually a good thing.

I only look at clothing websites when I'm depressed, and they really don't cheer me up at all.

sometimes i feel old! i saw TBC when it first came out on video. i don't really remember SC being a big deal, but I might have been too young. and I saw Ferris Bueller in the theater when I was 10 and I saw PIP on video again right after it came out. I remember when Some Kind of Wonderful came out, and how it was discussed among my friends in the cafeteria, but I didn't see it until it came out on cable a year or so later. I like all the movies, but as far as shirts go I would be more inclined to wear a Duckie or a Ferris shirt than a Bender or "Can I borrow your underwear for ten minutes?" shirt.

that saturdays in the early 90s thing - I was in high school! and we were devoted. we watched things like "tbc" and "the lost boys" at slumber parties. actually, TLB was watched against my wishes at my 15th bday party. i fell asleep.

the same things that make you feel old make me feel young. and i don't like it either.

at slumber parties when i was a kid, you know, a few years ago, we watched abbott and costello horror spoofs and tom petty music videos, oh my god!
