I had another log day today, but that's because I stayed up all night Thursday to get a good night's sleep Friday... and I did. Happy to be well-rested and human-race-joining again.
Went out for a snack earlier, picked up some DVDs, so I'll be watching Monsters Inc. tonight - yay! Also got CQ and Panic Room. Passed up Death to Smoochy.
If you are in the Orlando area and were listening to the Saturday night indie rock show on 104.1, you might have heard me call in a few minutes before 8PM and say "um... um..." a lot... didn't realize they would put me right on the air. Anyway, I was the girl who called in to point out that the mystery writer Anne Perry was one of the girls depicted in the movie Heavenly Creatures (Kate Winslet's character, for the curious). The topic was whether or not convicted killers are allowed to make any money on art they produce, as long as it isn't related to the crime.
My review of The Ill-Made Mute should show up on
minxbot in the very near future. For the moment, I just need to figure out how to knit and eat caramel corn at the same time.

She's a Mormon, by the way - Weird.

Date: 2002-10-13 04:01 am (UTC)i used to be really into her Thomas & Charlotte Pitt books, but I haven't read anything of hers since she started getting more into writing the William Monk books. I was a fan when I was 12 - so way before I found out about the murder stuff. and when I did find out about it, I was like, "Oh. Weird. Hm."
now she's putting out fantasy & i haven't picked it up, but it makes me wonder if any of it has a base in the stuff that she and the other girl worked on together.
