bitch and moan

I'm really tired, but I've been up for a few hours and I've showered and all that good stuff. I didn't go to the doctor - no, no, I didn't miss my appointment, I cancelled it. I don't think I have an ear infection after all. TMI ALERT - I coughed up the goo that was hurting my ear and throat yesterday. So I called this morning and told them to give the appointment to someone who really needed to see the doctor today. All I plan to do today is to go buy that movie with all the elves, & sit around watching it & working on my beading.
I've been reading the new issue of Bitch - "The Pink Issue" - and for the most part I actually like it for once. I know I've mentioned in the past that it often irritates me, with what I see as uninformed or hypocritical criticism - and there are those aspects even in articles I generally agree with in this issue (the article about black tv is great, BUT it gets some details wrong about specific shows it calls "all-white", which aren't, not that they're all great about dealing with racial issues, either). But in general it has pissed me off a lot less than past issues. (even though I disagreed with the critique of Swell, which is so NOT about landing a husband.) More later when I can think of more specific instances.
