I'm feeling better today... (I think? I just woke up. Cats were kissing me. They wanted food. I think if I hadn't gotten up to feed them they probably would have started to eat me... I think the "kisses" were to make sure I was still breathing. Cats apparently are not too picky about post-mortem owner predation, which is a nice way of saying that if you die around them and they become very hungry, they'll eat you even if they adore you. Fortunately I was still alive. So they got fed and I got to keep all of my skin.) Well, even though I feel psychologically better, I feel like I have a cold... a bit of congestion, a bit of a sore throat. Probably just from crying yesterday. I'm OK now. Really!
I'm going out to move the stupid car today... travelling one hour to drive a car from one parking lot to another. I swear. Then I'll do a bit of shopping (need pants) and then I will go bother
hyper_ballad in her new place or something. I believe SEX FEST 2002 is supposed to be over by now.
I like the new Tori songs. "Pancake" didn't download so well (but I like the bits I've heard), and I can't get into "Amber Waves". "Gold Dust" is really depressing and has an almost easy-listening-station sound - very orchestral. I do like it, but I can tell it's going to be one of those songs to which emotional college girls sit around sobbing in their locked rooms. This album's songs do not seem to be very piano-based, more of a full-band sound, but there are keyboards of some kind on most of them. But they're good, and I like them a lot better than the last two or three albums. Found them on Kazaa/Gnutella, so you all should be able to find them too, if you're interested.

Are you NASTY or NICE?
There's no two ways about it - you're really nice. You consider others before yourself and aren't afraid to stand up for people you care about. Relationships are important to you, and the friendships you have are for life.

Date: 2002-08-03 06:11 am (UTC)Try drinking some hot water with lemon and honey in it.
Sometimes having hot tea is a bit too astringent on the throat when one's got a cold a-brewing... lemon and honey is a nicer and gentler solution.

Date: 2002-08-03 07:54 am (UTC)(i'm just aware - and upon consideration, don't really mind - that if I died and they were starving, they'd eventually start eating me. which I guess is OK, because if I died, I wouldn't want my little guys to have to die too as a result, you know? and it's not like i'd be around yelling "ow! ow!"... i'd be dead, i wouldn't care. it's just meat after that.)
I think, on reflection, that my slight ookyness is related to my sinuses paying me back for crying too much yesterday. i usually feel crappy the day after a sobfest. if it continues post-tea (i'm an herbal drinker anyway) i may hit the honey/lemon, but i usually save that for a serious sore throat. and add bourbon. :)
