verbminxBecause I am super-boring, I've been home all day nursing my cramps (which wouldn't be so bad if they didn't make my back hurt so much, but which should be gone starting Tuesday), and watching The History Channel.
I watched a show about gladiators that wasn't very interesting (especially after hearing them make two major factual errors in like the first five minutes), but before that I caught about 3/4 of a really interesting show called The Lost Legions of Varus, which was about the Roman legions that were slaughtered in Germany in 6 or 7 CE. In the last ten years or so they've discovered the mass graves that were created in about 15 CE by Germanicus... in that 8 year period the bodies of thousands of people were just lying around. It was all found by a British Army officer stationed in Germany who would walk around in his spare time with a metal detector; he eventually found some coins and some lead shot for a slingshot.
Can't decide whether to go out or stay home. I need a few things, but I could probably wait to get them tomorrow.
