That is my Bill the Cat impersonation...
I think I am back off to sleep soon...

What have I done all day? Well, I finished all but a few of the bills, went out and deposited money and mailed some things and picked up the computers ($160, $60 of which I am making L. pay back because they replaced parts in his computer - I won't make him pay for the work, that was my choice, just the parts). I did a very miniscule amount of shopping, then came home "just to rest" and fell asleep from about 4:30 or 5PM to 8:30PM. I got up, crawled into my pajamas, ate, and watched some movies I'd already seen that my mom wanted to see... now I am settling in to go to sleep again. Mom actually liked Mononoke; I was surprised, since she always goes on about disliking cartoons, most particularly the music (Carl Stalling, THAT MEANS YOU). But she told me tonight that whenever she watches anime I've recommended, she enjoys it. It was funny a few years ago when I had her totally caught up in the story of Sailormoon R.

I'm mildly annoyed in that nobody I wrote to this week (C, C, V, WB) has written back. What's with you people? *raspberries* (I was taking the WB thing personally until I realised that nobody else was writing back either and it would be silly to take his not writing back more personally than anyone else's - especially when I know he is more busy than anyone else I wrote to!) I need to call V. We're sort of out of touch because of her computer problems. I miss her lots.

Going to continue reading my book, I think, and maybe dig out my copy of the anime Tale of Genji (but not watch it tonight 'cos I'm zoned). Or possibly read a few stories in my Collected Fictions of Borges, which I wanted for so long and bought a few weeks ago and have not touched. One of my projects, actually, for the near future, is making up a box of books that I bought and either skimmed (never properly reading them) or never touched at all. I have some good things in there... The Chess Garden by Brooks Hansen, and Ender's Game, which I've never read but constantly heard is wonderful, Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson, bought in hardcover because I was addicted to the first three chapters in a bookstore, and then never sat down to finish it, and approximately one metric tonne of other books.

But for now it's all about light reading. Light reading. Aaaaaaah.
