Nothing much of interest has happened today. I've barely eaten anything all day, and I'm not really hungry; I don't know why this is, except maybe that my stomach has been rebelling all day. I'll probably eat some soup later. I went out book-hopping and couldn't find (AGAIN) what I was looking for (Perdido Street Station), so I ended up buying a William Gibson book I hadn't read (Count Zero, because I *also* couldn't find All Tomorrow's Parties, which was the book of his at which I wanted to look). It was kind of disappointing. I did find some retro clipart books on clearance for a few dollars each. Boys who seemed about high-school age were following me around the store. Because I look about five years younger than I actually am, until you get close enough that you can see the lines in my face.
In other news, it seems my aunt, who is 45 years old, is in the hospital, after coming down with some very nasty viral illness yesterday that "felt like someone walking by and smacking [her] with a sledgehammer" - IE, it came on quickly. I hope she's OK. At this point she is conscious and can talk on the phone, and it's an outpatient hospital, not a big serious ICU type of thing. She's my mom's only sister and is only 15 months younger than the momster. So, you know, keep your fingers crossed that she's OK and stuff.
