Will have to reverse this trend in a few minutes.
Last night I had one of those nights where you're up for 24 hours and you just. can't. sleep. I think I grabbed four hours of sleep, maybe a little bit more. I waaaaaas going to make dinner, but now I think we'll just go out and grab some Chinese food. Going to see that Adam Sandler & Drew Barrymore movie later. Pix coming tomorrow of the present I made and of some other recent crafty stuff as well!
anyone feeling bad about what day it is - don't. it's a commercial holiday. people going out are either going on regular dates (like they would any other time of year), or else they're overdoing it to try to prove something. i've never done anything for valentine's day before... in fact, in 1994 and 1995, the guys i was dating actually broke up with me right before February, so it was extra-sucky, then in 1996, I found out that 1995-guy was dating someone pretty silly and being all nice to her and stuff, AND I got dragged into the office and yelled-at for something at my job, AND CJ (also single) and I went out dancing and then later in the evening couldn't get seated at Perkins because of our club clothes, AND I came home and got drunk on cheap champagne that these work customers I'd helped out had given to me even though I was still 19. jeca_pereca bought us all dinner because she had just gotten into grad school; the boy and his friend bickered gently all evening.That should be enough Disaster Story to make you feel less alone.
edited to add: you know, CJ wasn't even single at the time, now that I think of it. She had a bf and we were all friends. But he kind of sucked as a boyfriend; all he ever wanted to do when they were together was play video games! They'd completely broken up by the beginning of the summer.
