assembly line
Jan. 29th, 2004 04:22 amI am still awake; have been playing Literati with
nadja. She beat me by something like 4 points. I WILL BE AVENGED. ;) It was nice talking to her; I worry too much, & she has had a hard time recently.
Spent today doing house stuff; greater part of the evening was spent with Tom (aka The Bald Artiste) assembling furniture in my basement. I made tacos & we nominally watched Lupin III: The Secret of Mamo, which I had seen before, and frankly think is kind of creepy. Mamo is this horrible cross between a megalomaniacal Oompa-Loompa and The Grinch. Meanwhile, my coffee table took shape with no problems, and then we horribly messed up one of the drawers on my printer cart, and then went hysterically punchy trying to fix it (he suggested that we "take the drawer out back and shame it," which probably would have worked at least as well as anything we were trying at the time). But all was fixed and all is now more-or-less well, and i have two more pieces of furniture in my workroom, so I am Happy. Kicked T. out at 11 because some people have jobs. (Not me. Him! But I promise to join the workforce soon. Really.)
Now I'm tired and wondering why I'm up so late. Oh, yeah, getting beaten at online Scrabble. Yep, it's definitely time to crash.
