modysoul day!
I spent all day today (er, Modysoul Eve?) as predicted: sitting around, watching movies, knitting, not eating a heavy meal, etc. This has got to be a recent record for me for Number of Movies Watched in One Day. 5, I think: The Fifth Element, Tuck Everlasting, Clueless, Sleepy Hollow, Bridget Jones' Diary. No, I didn't see all of Clueless - only most of it - and after it ended I watched Perfect Blue, which I have had for a few months without watching. Hm, I predicted the ending early on but was incorrect about one detail (that was, who was actually doing the "Mima's Room" website). Decent suspense with moderately gratuitous nudity. I think I liked Millennium Actress better. (both were the work, more or less, of Satoshi Kon, whose newest movie is Tokyo Godfathers.)
I took the bandages off my finger. It's still tender and bruised, but I think it's going to be OK, and I'm not going to lose the nail or anything like that.
Knitted on a sleeve for the sweater I've been working on forever: the front isn't finished, but I've been having shaping problems on the raglan decreases, so I'm going to make the sleeves before I finish the second side of the front neck, so that I can match them up to the decreases and don't have to pull out more than I've already done on the top if it's incorrect. Raglan sleeves are the kind with a diagonal shoulder seam in the front and back, rather than a single seam on top. The tops of the sleeves have to match, in angle, the areas of the top of the sweater where they're all going to be sewn together. I also worked on finishing a mitten for my mom tonight; I am finished with the thumb gusset (which means I am about halfway up the hand) and should be finished with the whole thing in another session or two, probably two.
Theoretically going with T. to see Along Came Polly tomorrow (Tues) night, but will have to postpone another day if I don't feel a whole lot better and less exhausted tomorrow than I did today.
