Must be brief - on hotel phone, this may be expensive.

I'm in my hotel. Everything is fine. My dog is a little freaked out, but she'll get used to it. She balks at the elevator but she doesn't mind taking the stairs.

Yesterday was a very stressful and busy day and I left like 9 hours later than I wanted to leave, but I did get out of the house, at least. Checked in sometime after midnight, didn't go to sleep (despite attempts & being very tired) until about 830AM. I tried to post, but I'm using the web panel, and the computer locked up while I was posting. (That post was way more interesting than this one.)

Now I'm going to get room service and, in a little while, call [livejournal.com profile] zoloft and [livejournal.com profile] hyper_ballad. Might also do a bit of shopping later - there's an outlet store here that sells Paul Frank tees for like $9/each sometimes, and I'd like to check out what they have before I leave the area....

First of all, I AM NOT LEAVING WEDNESDAY MORNING. The movers are taking longer than expected, and do not expect to be finished tomorrow night. Ergo, I will be leaving no earlier than Thursday morning, maybe even later than that. My mom is pretty peeved about this because she might lose $2000 in escrow money; we were supposed to be out BY the first of October, not ON the first of October. I think it's good, though, because I can RELAX tonight and not run all over town trying to see people. (Did I mention that I am bone-tired?)

So I have just been sitting around my hotel today being very tired. I ordered some food, I went out to Walgreens and bought anti-itch cream for the bug bites I got on my ankle Saturday night. They've been itching enough to keep me awake at night the last few nights. While I was there, I acquired Part 2 -

Food for [livejournal.com profile] arwen_isobel! This dog has not been eating; I can't get her to poop; I can barely get her to pee or drink water. She could best be described as "sullen." She wants to either sit with me or (mostly) in her crate. Well, I found some canned food at Walgreens, Iams Adult Dog Food. I got Chicken & Rice and Beef & Rice - she just gobbled up the chicken variety. I'm SO relieved. She's been refusing several varieties of Science Diet dry adult dog food, which is what she's always eaten. She liked the puppy variety but has been sketchy about finishing her meals since she was switched over to adult food in July.

Did pop out to the cheap Paul Frank shirt place - which was right by Walgreens and maybe 10 minutes down the road - they didn't have anything I wanted at a decent price. There's a store in the same complex with a good Sanrio selection, so I picked up some Deery-Lou stuff: stationery, a bright decorative pillow, a small pearly pink vinyl clutch purse, and a little portable drinking bottle that is for my niece.

My hotel is right by a miniature golf course called "Pirates Cove"! You can guess what the theme is! I'm SO going there if I wake up in time tomorrow and the weather is OK! ARRR!
