scratch that!

What I said earlier. About Charlotte on SATC not being pathetic anymore. She was ultra-irritating-and-pathetic tonight, and all the stuff she seemed to have learned and all her growing-up just went out the window.

I spent most of the evening building a very special bracelet - it has hand-carved cinnabar-lacquer beads, including some pendant ones in the shape of butterflies. I have to seal it up, but it'll basically be done tomorrow. It will also, unfortunately, be a little more expensive than most of the things I've made, because the beads themselves were pretty pricey. I made it too short the first time, so I had to cut it apart and completely restring it!

tired now. it is a sad thing when the dog has a longer day than i have, but it seems to have been preordained, at least for today. B-cat has spent nearly the entire day curled up at the foot of my bed, so I think that I may be turning Cat.

ps - just when you thought the Chilean Beach Blob story couldn't get any grosser, they go and solve the mystery. ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew....

I was beginning to become a little concerned, because about 3 of my long-term, real-life friends have sort of vanished off the face of the earth lately (Nathalie, Autumn, Hannah). But I heard from Nathalie last week, and just when I was thinking that an email/telephonic search party needed to be sent out for Autumn, she reappeared in my mailbox this morning. (Well, not literally... I don't think she'd fit.) Overall, I feel relieved... now I am only concerned for Hannah, who shouldn't be too difficult to contact. I'm primarily worried that she may have gotten thrown by her horse again. She bought herself an Arabian in the last year or so, and this past fall, was mildly cosmetically injured while riding.

My dog has gone back to her attempts to eat the kitchen floor. Next place is going to have to have stone tile floors. In my experience, dogs just love the taste of vinyl sheet flooring.

I am attempting to decide whether to A) hit the library tonight, or B) hit the pirate movie tonight. Perhaps I should hit the library dressed as a pirate. Or the pirate movie dressed as a librarian. I make a very convincing Sexy Librarian type, but not a very convincing Pirate.

And the momster? Try to contain your surprise - I had to! - but she is out looking for a job. So much for military widowhood & the pension thereof.
