accomplishments -

woke up pretty late, considering.
took care of my ticket from last month, which involved a trip to the police station, and then a trip to the courthouse where i had to wait in two unexpectedly-long lines. took an hour or so at the courthouse. i sat and read a wild sheep chase.
had dinner at cafe. (as it was 5:30 by the time we got there.)
went to pottery place, finished painting king and queen chess pieces, put them on cart to be fired; started on rooks in same color scheme. i'm going to decide on the colors for the other team after i see how the king and queen look when they've been fired.
anyway, i was wearing a watch that i apparently never "sprung ahead", so I got out an hour later than I thought I'd be leaving. Oops. Will have to shop for niece's birthday present tomorrow. Her birthday was today.
Another oops was the momster's... she took a sleeping pill at the ceramics place, thinking it was a pain pill (ambien vs ultram, if you care). Shortly thereafter she began to wonder why she could barely walk. She told me that she was going out to the car, but apparently... and I unfortunately didn't see this, as my back was to the window... she tripped and fell somewhere in the 20 feet between the car and the building, and ripped up her knee. and NOBODY sitting at the cafe offered to help, they just sat there and giggled. so, I drove her home and am taking care of the doggie tonight.

modpixie and also to miabella and happy birthday to people who have had birthdays recently, too. (sometimes i catch them when i'm posting from this portal page, but usually i don't.)
