woooooo!

Fat Man is home! We went down to the computer shop today, since calling was useless, and it turned out that the guy who took in the computer for repair and the guy who was supposed to fix it did not communicate properly, so the mr fixit didn't know it needed to be done. Whatever, it was a five-minute repair to replace the fan on the power supply. I probably won't get set up again for another day or two, though. I want to make sure it works, then install the new drives (a slave hard drive and a DVD-ROM drive).

Also, I went and painted one king and queen from a ceramic chess set. I know one side will be predominantly red with yellow and blue highlights; I can't decide whether to make the other side predominantly blue with yellow and red highlights, or to go to the other part of the spectrum and make the other side green and purple. Time will tell, I guess. Just doing the king and queen took houuuuurs. My other big choice is how I'm going to do the pawns... with detailed features, or all one color?

Hey, hyper_ballad... I picked up the mug you were working on when we were hanging out there months ago! you hadn't gotten it. But I have it for you now.

I'm going to take a nice long shower with Aveda rosemary-mint wash and lotion, and then snuggle in with some tea or cocoa to watch Lupin III (I don't know why, but that show makes me feel happy and light). Tomorrow I have to go pay the ticket that I got last month, & also buy birthday presents for my niece.
