Whoo! While The Sock and The Peyote-Stitch Bracelet are not gonna be done in time for Christmas, The Bag is done. This is a big purple knitted and fulled (felted) tote for my mom... similar to the one I made for Caitlin, but larger, with more structural handles. More of a tote. It took much, much longer than anticipated. I'm making a simpler strung bracelet for her and sticking it into the one finished sock, as a "stocking"... I'll have to finish the other sock, which is 1/3 done, over the next few weeks. Also, I downloaded a bunch of songs today that I know she likes, and I'll make a cd of them after she goes to bed. Anyway, the bag is in the washer felting as I type.
Apparently Steel Battalion, an X-Box game with a special controller, is The Christmas Present You Don't Want To Have To Buy this year... selling for double the retail price and up. I'm glad I don't have an X-Box. One of my other cousins is getting one for xmas, and the games for it are so expensive. We got him a game, but it was a choice between the $20 games, and it's hard to find something in that category that's good for a kid who's 9 or 10 years old, something that had to be rated "e" (for everyone!) and not over his head or boring. So I got him a snowboarding game. But sheesh. Cross your fingers that poor Autumn can find a good present for her hubby, since Steel Battalion may be out of the question now.
I had a couple of quizzes to post under the LJ cut, but my computer crashed and I lost them. C'est la vie. Gotta go check on that felting now.
