I finished the bag. I haven't felted it yet. I used up every single little bit of yarn that I had with the exception of trimmings rarely larger than an inch or so long, and I'm unhappy with the handles (they're teeny), but otherwise it looks pretty good. I am going to alter my posted pattern so the bag is a little bit smaller, so that the handles can be better and there can be a button and thong for it. Look for the bag pattern in, I dunno, the next week or so.
I've done precious little today besides the bag; I actually tore out and redid every piece I'd done yesterday, after realizing I'd forgotten to budget yarn for a bottom panel or for sewing the whole thing up. Scary! I was always doing a piece to match some other piece that had already been done. I should have just started over from the top tonight, and made it smaller. So, I knitted, blocked, and sewed it up. & watched TV. Not feeling well today (girl stuff), and the resting was helpful.
Arwen Isobel is turning out to be alarmingly smart, but equally hyper. We moved her crate into the TV room so she could spend more time with us. She whines and barks more in the last 36 hours or so than she had since we got her, but the tradeoff is that she is starting to understand the bathroom concept really well and has been doing her business immediately after going outside. My mom does something that alarms me - lets her off leash in the front yard, which I REALLY do not like, but Arwen doesn't even go as far as the sidewalk, and instead does her business and then tears around trying to herd whoever is with her back indoors. She knows where she lives and how to get in and out. She also still thinks I am a tasty treat, but we're trying to break her of her desire to teethe on people's limbs.
