To continue this week's theme...

I woke up for several hours this morning - too early, so I went back to sleep as soon as I could, and ended up sleeping into the afternoon. I'm feeling a little bit better, but not much.

Amazon finally shipped my Tori cd, which came out two days ago and was pre-ordered... they estimate delivery on Nov 4 or 5. Niiiiiiiiice. (Not.) damn me for wanting the special edition.

I have not worked on any crafts yet today, but I have cleaned up one of my crafty areas a little bit. Have decided that I need a workbasket. the one I want is metal with twiney vine patterns and a pretty iridescent gold georgette lining.

Last night I was invited to put in "anything I wanted" (after The Blechelor), so I went for the second Utena dvd. It had the episode that bugs me the most, the one where Nanami drowns the cute little kitten. The momster was very frustrated with the fact that I didn't have any episodes past 13. So the whole house is glad that the new dvd is coming out in less than two weeks! Yeah, that's right, finally the Black Rose episodes are coming out. I wish I were a "fansub person" - then there wouldn't be these long waits -

and hey: after midnight, we can all start our No(vel)s.

I put on a costume (very home-assembled) and went out around town to run some errands this evening. My costume is a pair of very pointy black flat shoes, black tights with black and white striped kneesocks, a floaty black skirt (sort of EGL-looking) with tiers of tulle and bands of lace and ribbon at the top of each tier, and then a shirt over it, with a low neck and long slightly-belled sleeves and a scrollwork design done in light purple with fine glitter, and then I wore a pair of purple glitter wings. I put some glitter in my makeup (on my cheekbones and across my nose) and put my hair up with a strange hairtie made of scraps of black fabric, and another of purple glittery tinsel, and I pinned in some purple silk flowers. So, I was a purple fairy. I got compliments. Not bad for a costume thrown together around a pair of $4 wings.

I also got a book on marketing yr writing etc. (hint: FINISH SOMETHING, then GET AN AGENT. heh, heh, heh.)

Now I'm home and about to watch some taped episodes of Buffy... the two most recent. I guess I'll work on my sock. I did find a bunch of links of heel-turning-instructions, which I'll post later.

Still feeling crummy, but a little more functional than the last few days... I think I should continue to take it easy and drink lots of tea and stuff.
