Aug. 3rd, 2002 05:21 amI'm feeling better today... (I think? I just woke up. Cats were kissing me. They wanted food. I think if I hadn't gotten up to feed them they probably would have started to eat me... I think the "kisses" were to make sure I was still breathing. Cats apparently are not too picky about post-mortem owner predation, which is a nice way of saying that if you die around them and they become very hungry, they'll eat you even if they adore you. Fortunately I was still alive. So they got fed and I got to keep all of my skin.) Well, even though I feel psychologically better, I feel like I have a cold... a bit of congestion, a bit of a sore throat. Probably just from crying yesterday. I'm OK now. Really!
I'm going out to move the stupid car today... travelling one hour to drive a car from one parking lot to another. I swear. Then I'll do a bit of shopping (need pants) and then I will go bother
hyper_ballad in her new place or something. I believe SEX FEST 2002 is supposed to be over by now.
I like the new Tori songs. "Pancake" didn't download so well (but I like the bits I've heard), and I can't get into "Amber Waves". "Gold Dust" is really depressing and has an almost easy-listening-station sound - very orchestral. I do like it, but I can tell it's going to be one of those songs to which emotional college girls sit around sobbing in their locked rooms. This album's songs do not seem to be very piano-based, more of a full-band sound, but there are keyboards of some kind on most of them. But they're good, and I like them a lot better than the last two or three albums. Found them on Kazaa/Gnutella, so you all should be able to find them too, if you're interested.
