i wanna be sid-dated...
Jun. 10th, 2002 09:24 amI am really enjoying playing with the digital camera... I have taken like 100 pictures so far, and one little video. i filled up the 8mb memory stick pretty much by myself. dumb stuff like some silhouettes of my neighbors' trees against the dawn and the rooms in my house. (I want to have a mess contest with
ragdoll!) This is kind of weird, because I ordinarily don't like taking pictures. The little screen on the back that shows you what your picture will look like, though... that makes it more fun.
I'm kind of wired today. I talked to friends early this morning, then eventually went out for breakfast at my favorite new frog-obsessed diner (no, they don't serve them or anything... frogs are their mascot). Nice omelette with lots of veggies and some cheese in it, and home fried potatos. I then came home, put my cat in the window and then went outside to taunt him for a while, came back in and figured out how to clear the memory stick contents onto Little Boy, which involved installing some USB drivers. I haven't installed anything here on Fat Man yet... it was easier to just take the laptop into the living room.
(yeah, i know, I haven't used the terms Fat Man and Little Boy lately, so for everyone: Fat Man is my windoze pc tower with a lot of graphics power and RAM, and Little Boy is my momster's iBook Graphite Special Edition, and yeah, it's an atomic bomb reference. Little Boy is also a reference from Jonathan Carroll's book Voice of Our Shadow.)
I also did a bunch of really boring things like putting the glass globes back on the lights in my bathroom, but I won't go into that any further.
Last night I finished Sputnik Sweetheart, which I guess I liked, only it seems like Murakami just got tired of writing it and decided to end it where he got bored. Not as good as most of his other stuff I've read. People who like Banana Yoshimoto will probably like it. Now I am reading Watermelon by Marian Keyes... it is semi-fluffy, and I've only read a chapter or so, but I really like it so far.
