undercover brother! hell yeah!
Jun. 9th, 2002 12:18 amWe went out to see About A Boy tonight, but were too late, so we ended up seeing my secret first choice, Undercover Brother. It is so fucking funny. Movie snobs won't like it, but people who like Austin Powers movies or the Charlie's Angels movie would probably like it. Lots of clever jokes, good action, fun costumes. Aunjanue Ellis kicks unbelievable amounts of ass as Sistah Girl, and Eddie Griffin is great as the title character. Denise Richards (who I normally don't like) pulls off a great Barbarella/Bardot parody. Chi McBride is Chi McBride (is there any other reason to ever tune in to Boston Public?). Chris Kattan shakes his booty and does an excellent grinch-style evil smile.
I have a nauseous stomach... popcorn + root beer. I have a salad to eat but I haven't touched it yet, and won't until I feel a little less woozy.
Since I've actually combed my hair and eyebrows, I might have my mom take some pictures with the digital camera. (However, most of you will never see them.)
Got email from Autumn today - she liked her package yay! Finally mailed her all this stuff I had been saving up for her and her family... some cds, a china teacup (she collects them), some star-shaped glow-in-the-dark soaps, a big Colorforms Dr Seuss floor puzzle for her little girl (who is, eek, 4 now... they grow so fast!)... I'm glad to finally get it to them and, I must confess, also glad to no longer be tripping over it every day. Literally. (Procrastination: it's a way of life.)
