Dec. 14th, 2001 11:17 amI woke up today feeling really quantifiably ill, so I went to the doctor. It felt like that evil ear infection I had starting last september. Since I do not want to continue feeling like this, I thought medical intervention would be good.
Turns out the new assistant is a girl I went to HS with, also an overachiever, so I knew her from a lot of clubs and activities we did together. She works part time in the office and full time on an ambulance crew. I guess she's in her residency or something. We had a nice conversation. She didn't hurt me too badly when drawing blood for my mono test.
Oh, the verdict is that it's viral, for now. My temp has been low. Now that I've been up for a while, I feel a lot better than I did when I woke up.
I promised I'd tell about art class... after class ended (and we got a speech from La Profesera about what a great group we were, one of the best she's ever had), Us Art Girls all went outside and took pics for Ratna, who is spending vacation in Indonesia (her home), leaving today. I gave everyone their little presents, which were these tiny candles I found in a local shop... they come in little metal cans, are scented, and have glitter and tiny colorful wax shapes in the top. Beata also had little presents for everyone, these tiny little doggie beanies in xmas outfits. I got one that looks like a black lab puppy (or a black lamb) with tied-on reindeer antlers. It's really cute.
