not tired yet!

... but i want to get up around noon so that I can get up for school on Thursday. Still sick, retching inhaled phlegm up the back of my throat (ooh, gross!) but I really don't want to miss any more. I have to do my Old Master Forgery drawings this weekend, and I have no idea which two I'm going to do. There's one by Leonardo that everyone does, but what else?

I wish I still had a library card so that I could to the one by Veronese that I found there, but I don't (misbehaved with it as a teenager and still have an astronomical fine), and it wouldn't copy well, as it was done on reddish paper. I'll find something else.

I've been trying to watch Vertigo for the past two hours, but I haven't really been able to get into it. I'll need to remember to rent it one of these days. It has a deliberate pacing and requires your whole attention, rather like North by Northwest, which I've always loved. I like Kim Novak as an actress, but her eyebrows are terrifying.

getting there

In a burst of "energy" (or what passes for it these days) I finished cleaning off a good portion of my dining-room table (which itself passes for my workspace, and which has been covered with supplies for a while). I was a good girl and put the majority of my supplies into the drawers where they belong, and now a noticeable part of the table is clear.

Well, at least that side of it. I'm not sure what to do with my miniature mountain of design magazines and art textbooks, and my portfolio sculpture stuff basically has no other home, for the time being. This is not quite so bad as it sounds, as I tend to work on a very small scale in 3D, and none of my sculptures is much larger than a thick hardcover book... mostly I've done things like a delicate "star chair" five inches tall. There's also a lot of stuff there that isn't my problem... it's mom-related detritus from her job like a year ago.

I'm also starting to feel a little more tired! In another hour it will be...
