my ear hurts. yay infection. won't this thing ever go away without taking me with it? it's been two months.

tonight i ate food from wendy's and watched down to you while working on a major project that is due later this week. i finished it and cleaned up, but it took a bit of a physical toll and i have the feeling i won't be doing much tomorrow. i am really exhausted.

mum went to walmart around 8PM to pick up a Beatles cd she wanted (some limited edition thing) and then returned bearing a large stuffed unicorn, white and quite cute. i have not yet decided what to name it.

still working on the genji report. i am still pretty early in the book, and genji is in his mid-teens and already sleeping with so many women that i can't keep them all straight. i had to scroll back about a dozen pages at one point to try to figure out which of four women was being referred to as genji's paramour. (pretty sure it's the lady of the evening faces, by the way, if you've read it.) it is a lot better than i expected, but i'm already aggravated at the sheer number of women i have to keep track of. genji, you stud, you whore.

absurd!

i haven't been able to sleep because my knees hurt. figure that one out. i did bad things to my legs while spraying adhesive onto the many pieces of my major artschool project thingy (if you must know, it's a 24-card matching game to teach students how to recognize the variance in the major hues in the color wheel). i made the mistake of crouching over in a squat or squatting over in a crouch while piecing the cards together with their backings. so i am twingy up and down my legs, but especially in my knees, calves, and lower back.

last night i ordered some things (some of them uncharacteristically fantasy-foofy) from Tarot Totes... on the celestial page, "moon scrying" and "illumination", and on the celtic page, "guinevere's world" and "merlin vs morgan" (in the bluest shades). They have some really pretty things, not too expensive. I wish their tassels were more refined, though, and I wish you had a choice of sizes and could order the bags lined. I'll probably give Moon Scrying to Herself, since she likes that kind of pattern and doesn't have a bag for the tarot deck I bought her.
I slept pretty well last night. I woke up around 5 and lay in bed for a while, then got up, got dressed, and got ready to leave. Went out to see my project partner at work (she works in a copy center) and gave her my part of our project. Went over to Barnes and Noble and bought something called the Chronic Fatigue Self-Help book, and gritted my teeth in the latent realization that I don't particularly like that B&N, it's not efficiently run, combines all the things we used to get complaints about when I worked for Books-A-Million. I also bought the Aquarian Tarot, since I've wanted it for years.

Then went to the Olive Garden for dinner. By this point I was pretty exhausted, but did have to stop at a drugstore on the way home for something. No big deal, I am home in one piece and that is what counts. :) and I have minestrone and chicken scampi to eat tomorrow! and I am talking to Ragdoll and Autumnthought at the same time! Excepting the whole "illness" aspect, life is pretty good.
