Nov. 14th, 2000 04:39 amI slept pretty late today, not waking up til after dark... well, I woke up in the half-light with the N-cat curled tightly into the backs of my knees, but I went back to sleep for some time. When I woke up, it was around 7PM, which is just an acceptable amount of sleep, nothing fantastic. I don't think I went to sleep until at least noon, probably later.
My mother was still MIA, at her hair color correction appointment (it's dark brown and at least 40% silver, and she has been dyeing it black for about 18 months, and wanted a brown shade again), an hour away. I sat around, ate a yogurt, checked email. When I finally gave up and called her, around 8:30, she had just left the salon and was on her way home. To the tune of almost $300. She now has very dark reddish-brown hair, with some auburn tones and some burgundy tones. It looks nice but I am surprised because she used to dislike reddish tones.
We went out for dinner, stopping at a bookstore so I could look for A)the CFIDS books I want and B)the Nigel Jackson tarot deck I mentioned a few entries back. I struck out on both counts. Dinner was good, but I managed to forget my box of food... left it sitting right on the table. So much for tomorrow's lunch.
Got home sometime after midnight and have been going between reading about Genji Art (and the art of pre-1392 Japan in general) and fooling around online ever since. I have a tremendous headache and my legs hurt a lot too.
But one of the many people who owes me mail did write to me tonight, so I am feeling a little less neglected. :) Carrie rules!
(now if only we can strap a certain Junior Professor to his computer...)
