So, we decided, again, to keep the old sofas. We like them, we'll recover them and either use them in another room of the house or sell them. They are very nice and still structurally intact. Everyone I know who has ever been on them thinks they are super-squishy. So neenor to thrift places that didn't want them. We put off the delivery of the new stuff for about another 10 days.

After that, went and picked up some supplies I needed, and went to a nice dinner at Carrabba's. Mmmm. Italian food. My waistline is expanding at the rate of the universe. But that's OK.

Where after that? Well, guess. There's an interesting issue of Wired out, all about Tokyo, with an article by William Gibson in the course of which he runs into Douglas Coupland and Michael Stipe and they all hang out together. I want to be a fly on those particular Japanese walls! There's also an article on Squaresoft. & I got my mom's birthday cards. Her bday is Monday. But we are going out Saturday night because she wants to see these Kodo drummers who only perform on weekends.

The bookstore clerk was a cute industrial-looking boy and we talked about piercings for a while. Unfortunately, I didn't get my lip done locally, so I couldn't tell him the best place to go. However, I told him some ppl to talk to, so he should be able to get a good lead. Now that I think of it, I ought to have recommended the guy who made my retainers for me. He didn't even do the piercings, but made the retainers for free, and the studio looked great... very clean & professional. His book was also very good.

& after assorted other errands, here I am, home at last, quite tired.
