verbminxnailing nails into Desk of Doom. Not too much more to do, but I'm too tired to set it up tonight.
we had ice cream, rented O Brother, Where Art Thou (A CINEMATIC MASTERPIECE DAMN IT!) and The House of Mirth and Finding Forrester (no high hopes for the last one, but at least it isn't about Joyce Maynard). also went to the healthfood store, got lots of snacks and a salad and such. i must add that... that... that Baskin-Robbins is preferable to Friendly's when it comes to takeout icecream. Not only is Jamocha Almond Fudge vastly superior to Vienna Mocha Chunk, the sugar cones from Friendly's were stale (they didn't even have waffle cones - how spoiled am I?), and they made me wait for fifteen minutes after they took my order.
Pedicure was good. My nails are shiny creamy red. It's called "Big Apple Red" and I kept referring to it as "New York Red". It's more like Elizabeth Arden Red Door Red or something. Red red red. It is becoming conspicuous that I know too much about various beauty products. I have more depth than that, in fits and starts, I swear. But for this week I am enjoying sashaying around. my carriage is even different. my toes like being red, my hair likes being back in its natural state. รด-lala, as all my french teachers used to say. (yes, i'm bullshitting wildly at the moment.)
so, I am a chick wearing inappropriate shoes, smelling a little musky, with pale golden hair, standing around in a tanktop and cotton panties with a hammer and nails. someone's fantasy, but i just wish the work were finished.
