(no subject)

I'm bored, headachey, and not tired. I knitted all evening. I suppose I should repair the frogs on the dress I'm wearing to that party tomorrow night (it's a cheongsam, a silk chinese dress with embroidery down the front, and all the snaps and frogs that close it need to be stitched down securely).

I guess I'm a little nervous about going.

I think I'm going to do that, then drink tea and read until I'm ready to fall asleep. Damn insomnia.

blaaaaah... i'm still awake. to be fair, i've only been awake for 12 hours. but i wish i could sleep. party tonight. blar.

I was up from 12:30 to around 5 am. My sleep cycle is soooo facked. Have fun at the party tonite. I'm sure you will!

mine is black matte silk, and has this embroidered pattern of leaves and roses and butterflies in reds, greens, and yellows down the front. i got it in Fake China at EPCOT at Disney World, so I probably paid too much. I went wanting a brocade dress, but this one just happened to look better on me and fit better, and I believe the brocade dresses they had weren't silk. A good place to get them for like $75 and under is Pearl River Mart in NYC, which might have a website, and definitely has a print catalogue.

well... they don't seem to have any that are like mine (which was $120), but I did find their website... www.pearlriver.com. When you get to the main page click on "our products" in the lefthand column (bottom of the column, under the search window). then you'll get a page, and clothing will be at the bottom of all the links. there are some dresses, pajamas, robes, jackets, etc there.
