So I ended up staying up all day yesterday. I talked to Autumn in the morning, and she thought that I should try to stay up, rather than going back to bed at noon like I wanted to. As per Autumnal command, I dragged myself to health food store, then to bookstore, where I looked at lots of things I haven't read yet (my, that's profound).
I looked at sewing books, which mostly suck, because I have a sewing machine that I don't know how to use, and I looked at Fadiman's Lifetime Reading Plan, which is actually pretty good and didn't make me feel as illiterate as Adler and Van Doren's "great books" list (IE, I've read a good percentage of Fadiman's list, once you get past the year 1800).
Anyway, I came home blisteringly exhausted and in considerable physical pain. I ate, and fell into bed, where I got a decent night's sleep. Except for that whole dream about the duck and the cat drinking coffee together from the kind of coffee machine that dispenses a little cup and then pours a hot beverage into it, and the cat trying to beat me up.
