I changed my mood icons, but I still haven't gotten around to reading any friends entries yet. Patience, I'll get to them... check out the pages of you new people who were nice enough to add me while I was away.

I've been quite the little Utena-stuff-ordering-machine the past few days. Three posters, a wallscroll, a deck of cards. When will the insanity end? *sob* (probably when I run out of money/credit.)

Ended up going to Target, Carrabba's for dinner, and then Books-A-Million (upon which I had to drag the mom unit out by the arm).

At Target, I got a nice drapey black shirt that is a little bit swanker than a polo shirt, a pair of cotton pajama bottoms in a nice print, and a few pairs of socks which, for once, ARE NOT BLACK. I'm wearing my orange Curious George shirt today with khakis, and black socks and shoes, and I saw some khaki socks with orange and yellow stripes/spots (1 pr each), so I went for them. Also some pink bunny slipper socks, and a new L'Oreal lipstick, the new Shine Delice stuff or whatever it's called... in the Fudge Supreme color. Haven't tried it on yet. Blah blah blah dishsoap SwifferWet (mopping for the very very lazy) and scented colorsafe bleach... we'll see how it works on the smoky clothes.

Carrabba's... yummy garlic potatos, yummy chicken, yummy yummy... yum....

Books-A-Million, I picked up the new Juxtapoz and a couple of knitting magazines (juxtaposition indeed).

My mother is reading all these "psychic medium explains the universe" books. Sylvia Browne, James van Praagh, etc. I'm disturbed. You aren't supposed to go from xian fundie to new-age loopy. You're supposed to find the middle ground. I'm really TRYING not to look askance in a conspicuous way, but sheesh. I want to buy her some damn science books.

So, I'm still unpacking and doing laundry and so on tonight. Maybe I will get Ambitious and mop the bathroom, though to be honest I don't see that happening, I'm far more likely to sit here paging through magazines and making a bit more progress in The Magic Mountain.
