verbminxI now am in personal possession of more split pea soup than anyone not directly involved with either the catering trade or a production of The Exorcist: The Musical! (often called, by fans, simply Exorcist!) has any living right to be.
I have a filled up 2-liter jug, and a decent-size rubbermaid storage bowl. And no idea where to put them, now that I think of it!
I'm eating some of the soup now... it is quite tasty. A little more yellow/orange than I expected, thanks to the carrots and corn in it. Mmmmmmm. Tomorrow's dinner will likely be Gardenburgers, a salad, and delish split pea soup.
If you ever run across the Bean Cuisine Thick-As-Fog Split Pea Soup Mix, which comes in a tall bag with a cinched top, go for it! I prepared it more-or-less according to the recipe on the back, and it's good. Be prepared to spend a little extra on ingredients, though.
