I won Dread Pirate! It's actually a pretty fun game... pricey, but I recommend it if you can afford it. It's played on a map like Risk but involves a lot less strategy, because you're just marauding other areas, not trying to defend your own. (Actually, I don't think it's much like Risk at all, but my mom made the comparison, so take it for what you think it's worth.) Gameplay took about two hours. Some of the rules are not clear, so we're going to print out the updated rules that are available on the website and see how they work for us next time. I made the losers take me (and themselves) out for ice cream.
Then I came home and worked on cleaning the basement. See, it can't ALL be fun. I had to throw away a lot of things I had been saving (like soap I made, and other soap that had been given to me as a gift). So there's a lesson - use consumable goods, don't just save 'em up because they're pretty.
(Actually, that's a lesson that's been driven home again and again since moving. You can bet I don't have a huge selection of bath products anymore. I use them up. Too many went bad in transit.)
