I went to the AM yoga class today. FINALLY! A teacher who doesn't pretzel my back into major pain! (I have sciatica.) I got to class 10 minutes early and stretched out on a stability ball first. I could do almost all of the moves except the ones that involve balancing on one foot; I have relatively poor balance. I did a few other moves modified, and sat out a really intense portion that I didn't want to attempt, but it was only about 2 minutes. This instructor makes you growl and bark! I am going to try to make it to the AM class more often, and next time, I will bring my swimsuit so that I can soak in the hot tub afterwards.
(working out always makes me want to hang upside down afterwards, to stretch my back and straighten it out. My kingdom for a gravity table!)
Watched The Notorious C.H.O. the other night. Liked it. However, Margaret is taking on two tendencies that kind of bug me. She's starting to deliver a handful of jokes in the same screechy voice that Roseanne (who I loathe) uses. She also did this thing that she'd also done in I'm The One That I Want, where she takes a line and repeats it over and over, drawing out a joke long past the time it's funny. In the previous movie, it was, "Hi, I'm Gwen, and I'm here to WARRRRRRSH your VAGIIIIIIIINA!" In this newer movie, if I'm remembering correctly, it was something her then-boyfriend said to her about sex. It gets annoying and boring. BUT I still loved TNC and would recommend it to anyone who likes her, especially if they are the gay!
I also saw a bizarro movie called Soul Survivors late the other night, which I can't tell you much about, because any commentary might be considered a spoiler. It was closer to good than bad, without really being either. It's about a girl whose boyfriend dies in a car accident that was partly her fault and that she survives; she then starts seeing him & feeling pursued, and has to convince her other friends who also survived the accident to help her deal with the haunting.
and I finished The Sock last night! This is a pair of socks that I started in NOVEMBER. I gave the first one to my mother for xmas but she's been waiting for its match for several months. Now I am DONE DONE DONE HA HA HA.
and of course have already cast on another pair.
