I find it interesting that the period is included within the quotation marks as if it were some sort of kindred soul while the question mark and the exclamation point are uniformly descriminated against. I'd love to see an 'E! True Hollywood Story' or an 'AMC Backstory' on just what the relationship is between these quotes and the period. Sordid, scandalous stuff to be sure.
